Thanks! As soon as I pulled in I had several people staring at me wondering what the hell I was doing. One guy came over and started taking pictures with his phone and laughing like crazy!

With no shopping carts in there, I couldn't resist. The fit was too perfect!

I was in a parking lot in South Africa and all the spaces were covered - very civilized!

How many of us are going to keep our eyes peeled for empty shopping cart areas now? So awesome!

HA! I remember being so tempted by those covered cart corrals at my local safeway. I never decided to enter because I figured that some jerk with something up their *** would decided to shove a cart into my vehicle... Glad to see you were able to get away with it unscathed!

Great pics! I think you should have "staged" it a bit more...put a few shopping carts in front, and one or two in back to make your MINI look like it was being used as a shopping cart.

I just pulled it in there long enough for a few pics. I had the same fear of coming out and finding dings all over my car.

Thanks for all the great replies! The pics were too good not to share

Chad

Our local BJ's Warehouse store also has those same type. I inquired with the manager about where they got them. He asked if I wanted one, I said "sure". He showed me an unbuilt one that they used for extra parts and said I could have it if it is gone this weekend. A truck, a lot self tapping screws, a couple pcs. of sq tubing, a Sat assembling and my father-in-law has a garage for his van.

That was my first thoughts too.

One will come back and find shopping carts all slammed in and around one's MINI. I don't know if a covered parking space would be worth all the dings and scratches!

Great find! They're the perfect size for our MINI's. Just add some sides and you'll have a MINI garage.
