Factory Sliding Armrest Pad 2011???

I am wanting the Redline cover for my factory center armrest. Their instructions are incomplete as to removal (slide back, tilt up, lift off???) and squeezing the plastic hinges together is making me nervous. If there is someone who has removed the pad I would truly appreciate your advice.

I covered my armrest with black leather from Redline ( see my gallery for pictures ) and it turned out great. I too was reluctant to squeeze the plastic pin parts in too much, but it turns out that they are really strong and can take it. I have since installed an ipod in the armrest and have had the cover off several times with no problems. If you push the armrest all the way back, and tilt it up, sometimes a gentle twisting motion is all thats needed to pop the pins out of the track.

White3 Thanks... Your advice, needle nose pliers, and the knowledge I could buy a new one when I broke it allowed me to remove it . You're right that is good plastic .

Is reinstallation just the reverse? A friend had hers pop off (with the help of her child.)

To reinstall, I placed the top in at an angle, one pin in the track and then twisted it straight and it popped back into place.
