It was in 9th place which was very impressive... then this.

They showed that post crash pic in the Dakar highlights on VS yesterday. Looks scary. I think the driver had a concussion. That's how bad it was.

And it happened on the rest day on a practice run.

They will be able to salvage most of that, I'd imagine. Everything but some suspension parts and the tubular frame. Of course the body work is toast, it isn't even there anymore.

Wow! It makes me wonder what happened, and what was wrong that required them to push it that hard on a rest day. Were they testing some sort of fix they had to do?

holy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where did the rest of it go? that must have been some crash!
if i saw that in person and idnt know it was the countryman i dont think i would have been able to guess it was
