oil or water temp or scanguage?

The lack of a proper temperature guage of any sort is troubling me and am looking to add some form of temperature gauge to my R57, curious what route those of you have taken....

+1 OBDII will give H2O temp, as well as AIT (Air Intake Temp). Oil temp requires a sensor/sender+wiring/receiver. Cost/benefit says H2O works. (I had the OEM oil temp sensor drain plug, but the 3 (?!?!) threads it had gave up the ghost in the oil pan, so I make do with the H2O temp.)

I use an Aeroforce Interceptor gauge. It doesn't display oil temp on the Mini but it does have 2 analog inputs that could be used to add oil temp. Does pretty much everything a Scangauge II does except some of the trip meter functions. I had a Scangauge II before switching to the Aeroforce.

Scangauge II works well for me. One of the best features IMO, is the actual MPH instead of what the OEM speedo shows. Quite a bit of difference. The code reading/clearing function is nice to have and can be used on any OBD2 vehicle.

Do you have a droid phone? If so get this http://www.cravenspeed.com/products/...plete-Kit.html
$50 cheaper then a scangauge and it comes with a mount. I love mine because you can have up to 6 gauges on one screen and there are multiple screens. Plus there is no wire running around you legs like with a scanguage.

I found these on the Craven web site. I'm considering this even though I do have an iPhone 4 and various scan/tune hardware-software packages. I like the idea of permanent, hard gauges. Requires no drilling, is reversible and matches the stock gauges, including the night backlighting. Pus, it looks cool.
