Best Wiper Arms for reduced wind noise?

I recently changed wiper arms and started hearing a whistling noise around the windshield. At first I thought the new windshield I had installed right before the wipers may have not been installed correctly, then I noticed it came from the wiper blades. My original ones on my 05 had a little wind spoiler on the driver's side, but my local parts store didn't have the replacement arm that matched so I bought some rain X arms. These arms have square notches cut in them that I believe are the cause for the wind noise. I regret not keeping my original arms now. Can anyone tell me what wiper arms they have that don't produce wind noise on the highway? I live in Southwest Missouri, USA.

I don't have the wind noise problem with my Rain-x wipers but the wiping is sub standard.. I ordered a set of oem wipers from the dealer Friday. I am beginning to believe things like wipers are best kept OEM even if you need to replace them a little more often.

I went aftermarket and had same issue. Would actually vibrate against the windshield too.

I purchased two drivers side OEM wipers from MINI so both sides have that aerofoil.......problem solved.

* yes they are supposed to be different lengths, but the extra inch for the other side was wasted anyways, it rarely makes full contact with the glass anyways.

The PIAA silicone sport (I think that's the name) have the airfoil and stopped the lifting/noise for me.

+1 on the PIAA blades. I bought the Sporza ones a while back and they worked very well and lasted quite a while. I need to buy replacement blades for them though. I bought some rain x blades in the interim because I didn't want to wait for them to be shipped, and was very disappointed.

You need the airfoil on the wiper blade for it to work right. I gotta check out the PIAA blades. I have been told a replacement OEM wiper with an airfoil is about $60 from MINI...yikes.

Check out the Bosch ICON blades. I have been using them for years and love them.
