Aesthetic Creations vinyl issues

I have the oem bonnet and boot sport stripes installed which were made of thick vinyls that were designed to be installed wet. I ordered the bumper sections from Aesthetic Creations and they were very thin and designed to be installed dry. Does anyone have experience with Aesthetic Creations? Because the bumper sport stripes I received were not shaped to match the curvature of the body like the oem ones. As a result I ended up with a lot of wrinkles and bubbles in order to make them look straight and parellel. Am I doing it incorrectly? They also arrived uncut, so I had to cut them to the correct length while installing.

I ordered the stripes to extend mine down the front bumper from them.(see my gallery) Yeah, I did have to cut them to fit, but I guess I expected to have to do that.

Did you cut them into smaller pieces to match the curvature or did you install each piece as a whole?

I replaced my OEM bonnet stripes with AE replacements and laid them on wet. I used the flat of my hand to 'help' the vinyl conform to the curve of the bonnet then squeegied real good and only had a couple of small bubbles that went away after a few days in the sun. Using a wetting solution allows for adjustments as the vinyl is laid down and makes it easy to lift it off if things don't look right the first time.

I think everybody's confidence level and temperament have a great deal to do with the DIY success of this project which has shown up in more than one thread. Kinda like talking a two year old into jumping off the diving board. Once he's in the water there's no holding him back.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I had to cut the individual pieces. It took a while, but they finally got there

The Aesthetic Creations vinyls are not designed to be applied wet, and thus can be tricky. Applying them wet can destroy them if they are designed for dry only application.
