Reminds me of the late Jim Clark jumping a Lotus Cortina in 1965.
He did it on a ski jump in Italy, 1965.
No rockets.
Can't remember how far he went.
Colin Chapman was laughing his head off watching it all.
"Those were the days."

 

Now, THAT was wonderful.

 

What a great episode that was. If you watch the newer ones it is in their sound stage on the side. Next time you watch it keep an eye out for it.

I miss my dad's Spitfire.

Oh, i should clarify, not Triumph spitfires. Supermarine Spitfires. The WW2 fighter planes.

 

Oh well not all of us fly but, those are nice planes too.

 

I have previously seen this on Top Gear, pretty awesome Top Gear is a great show!
