Ordering Lead Time

I have made my final decision on color and options. It only took two months and driving to dealerships on Sundays to be able to make this decision. The process----- HC to PW to CR back to HC then to JCW EG/R but too much $ then back to HC w/Blounge to punch then to PW w/Blounge then back to JCW(NO) then a few more changes until I saw it a the dealership and I was not prepared for it because I dont like black cars----Black/Silver w/blk wheels and lights.
The worst part is not being able to see actual examples of colors and options. The us web site does not depict the colors well. That is why I would go to different dealerships it see the different color combos and interior options. A word to the wise, if you are having as hard a time as I was, go to the UK web site and its configurator gives a better "real life" depiction of color and interior. Be advised that they do not have all of the same option/combinations that we do.
Now to my question. I will be ordering a Clubman S and would like to know roughly the lead time involved from order to delivery at this time of year. My current lease ends the 30th of Jan and wanted to know when to place order. I understand that it is not a precise science but I would like to be close.
Thanks

Your best bet is to explain your situation to your dealer and get them to commit the best they can, because in short....it varies. My car went from order to dealer in just 36 days but it was a "build slot" that already had a day assigned, he said it went into build queue the day after he placed it. Dealers get certain allotments per month and they should know when they will go in. Then the process from build to delivery is fairly static within a week or so timeframe.

8 weeks is a good estimate. There are many variables including where you live. I placed my order on 1 Nov and am now awaiting for a ride across the big pond, maybe 4 more weeks. My $0.02 worth

Hopefully i dont jinx my self but i ordered my 11 clubman S november 15th and is already in production. My mini dealer is confident that she will be in the last week of December.

I am in the Philadelphia region so im sure its alot shorter boat ride across the pond. When i ordered my 06 mini it was in my driveway in 4 1/2 weeks.

Just curious, does anyone know how long it really takes mini to build from start to finish?

My car will be finished tomorrow as it is in paint now. 10 days from date of order to completeion that is impressive.

I ordered my '09 Clubby on Jan 9th, it was in my driveway on Feb 20th.....
Congrats on your decision, don't beat yourself up too badly when it gets here and you realize you also should have ordered that.........something!

You don't say where you are, but travel time is a bit longer to the left coast than the right, also....I'm in the middle of the country but my car came in thru Baltimore, IIRC so only about 5 days from port to port.

I think I'd be visiting my dealer and placing the order now, you can always turn in your leased car a week or two early if need be

It depends on how lucky you are with catching a ship. One year we ordered and he came out of the factory onto a ship and was here about 5 weeks after being built. The next year we ordered another and he came out of the factory and just missed a ship, it was 3 weeks before the next ship. It took 8 weeks from being built to delivery.

Thanks for the info. Im in central PA.
I will be turning my car in 1 month early already because of mileage and the fact it wont pass the state inspection(questionable tires). I have to pay Chrysler to unload it, so it makes no sense to give it back with fresh tires if I dont have to.
Just as a side note-- I had inquired about the Fiat 500 and was told by Chrysler that if I purchased a 500 I would still owe the disposal fee. I responded with "Chrysler is not part of Fiat?" and their response was "not in this case", I just had to chuckle.
