Kids Do the Darnest Things

Okay, before I go on I'll admit my story isn't so much funny as it is heartwarming. It made me smile, and definitely made my day so I figured I'd share because I'm still feeling all gooey inside about it .

I was driving home from the gas station, when I happened to look outside my window at the car next to me. I noticed a little boy in there animatedly chattering and smiling at his father, all the while pointing and looking at my MINI. Now, in my area there are tons of MINIs driving around, but not too many have been modded and blacked out. My bonnet stripes are a little different as well. He even rolled down the window so he could listen to my exhaust . Who know, maybe I was looking at a future MINI owner. Just when I was starting to think the magic that is MINI was starting to fade in the eyes of the public, I get this. I guess the point of the story is hooray for little kids .

Haha yes, I guess that's something I should be thankful for.

A couple weeks back I stopped at a local pizza joint and as I was getting out of my MINI a car pulled up near me. Three kids ranging from about 7 to 10 pile out of the car and come running up excitedly. All of them asking questions and oogling over the MINI. It was great.

Another funny thing happened on a trip to Kansas not too long ago. We are in the small town of Elkhart and my brother comes out of the gas station laughing. He overheard a lady talking about my MINI. She said that she had never seen one in person before, she had only seen one on The Price is Right.

One of the young boys at church calls the wife's cabrio, a "spy car". And last year when we took our great nephew a ride, when we got back to his house he rode around on his scooter pushing a make believe button to put the top up. He even made the noise as well.

Who doesn't love a Cooper.

I would also comment on how you take up two spots to park. You wouldn't appreciate it as much as everyone else's though.

A couple of months ago I was walking up to my mini in a parking lot and I noticed a young lady with her 4 y.o. daughter looking at the car. As I was getting into the mini the startled woman quickly said "my daughter wants a car like this so she was showing it to me".
