i drove to california after memorial weekend in may and been here ever since.. And i'm about 300 miles away from the 50k mark which will end the warranty.

So should i take a close look inside and out my car and find some manufactured flaws and bring it in to service before i hit the 50k?
What should i look for (make sure is ok), and talk about to the service guys?
--carbon build up?
-sunroof.. melt scoop? not sure

im not sure if i can have my mini serviced since it's from Texas

It shouldn't matter if it is from Texas or Jamaica. If it still has a warranty, you should be able to go to any Mini dealer for service and warranty repair.

That being said, mine had 94K when I bought it, so I can't really help you with knowing what to look for at 50K.

Good luck with it though. Whereabouts in California? We were near LA and San Diego in March on vacation and loved it. Not enough to move there with all the regulations and such, but it was beautiful.
