We are thinking of switching, so anyone have any experience with them? Thanks!

Have them. Haven't had to use them yet, but their customer service folks are always friendly and helpful. I've been calling a lot lately since we've bought two cars and sold one (so far) this year.

Had them a few years ago, then switched because their rates just kept going up every year with cars getting older and no dings on our records. Went with GMAC, who was good until I crunched my wife's Vue into a tree this past winter and they jacked up my rates to almost double what they were. What a racket. I'm now with Progressive, who I've had my bike with for years. Had one uninsured motorist claim with them several years ago and they were great. Hope to not have any more of those any time soon.

I have had Travelers on both auto and home for about 15 years.
The rates do go up but when I get quotes from other companies Travelers is still the lowest when auto and home are combined.
Only one auto claim and that was smooth as silk. Mostly them asking me how I want to handle the claim, where did I want the repair done at.
A couple of home owners claims which were also very good.
I would recommend Travelers.

Yes, I have Travelers

I put in a claim for a chip in my windshield. They offered to either fix it or if I'm not satisfied with a repair they would replace it. They made an appointment and a guy came to my house and did the repair at no charge to me. It is a very small chip but I was afraid it would get worse so it needed to be fixed. It is not in my line of view and if I did not point it out to you ,You would not even know it was there.

They did raise my rates a little after my first six months but they are still cheaper then Geico, Progressive, and Nationwide. If they raise my rates again I will look for another company again until I find one cheaper. I have two cars insured by them. My 2009 Mini JCW & a Suzuki Samuari of 1988 vintage.

My other company kept going up every year (no claims, points, etc), and when
it went up quite a bit several years ago for no reason, our agent switched us
to Travelers for a significant savings (currently about $1100/year for 2 cars
2003 MINI MC and 2001 VW Cabrio with good coverage - both of us over 50).
No experience with claims with them so far however. They do our homeowners insurance, too.

Thanks for the replies so far. We are now with Travellers. Hopefully we will never have to use it...
