Is it a daily rider? For joy riding only or a garage queen? Do you park it wherever you can or are you selective?
My wife and I are on different pages with cars. I try park out of Ding range. She does not understand.

DD.
parked in BFE.
Thats what the fiance's Corolla is for. If she doesn't want to walk or wait after being dropped off, mine's staying in lol.
Only one ding so far, and $100 in repairs... trying to keep that tally low

Semi Daily Driver/weekend warrior. All my MINIs were originally intended to stay in the garage until Friday, Saturday, Sunday and other special occasions. That never happened. The car is too much fun to not drive, plus you're not promised tomorrow, so might as well enjoy it. So now a days she takes breaks and I drive my Sidekick around.
It's hard to break certain habits....I'm working on it.
Daily Drive - I always park out in BFE. In the past I had "look-at" and "drive" cars. If your wife doesn't understand your protective nature just remind her that she has those "look-at" towels with the lace or monograms on them that you're NEVER allowed to use. You know the ones that don't absorb anything and you know that because you used them out of spyte.

I agree with Fatherdeth; it's too much fun to not drive it. And I can hardly stand to drive anything else.
I try to stay out of ding range; but with some idiot drivers, that's not a guarantee. I've parked in large lots where mine was just about the only car, and have had bozos in trucks and minivans pull up and park right next to me!

Molly is used for our Daily 40mi. Commute, if we do take her out elsewhere I make sure and check with my Co-Pilot (Husband) on where we might park Molly, mostly we eb on the side of not taking Molly due to Parking. I park Molly out in BFE or at least in a spot away from Sub-Standard Autos!!
Mine is my daily (and only) driver; so far I've generally been keeping away from other cars when parking, or at least taking a 'well defended' space - find a space that will only have 1 adjacent car to it and park as far onto the other side as possible.
DD 2100 miles in the first 23 days of ownership... Park in area's least likely to get dinged, but never at the end of the parking lot.
Still get a big grin when I walk outside and see it in the driveway... Had to drive my wife's Honda van this weekend didn't want to squeeze 4 and luggage for the weekend (at least that is how I explained it to her) I just didn't want to put 500 highway miles on my Mini with no hopes of driving anywhere else. That or the Fact that I was driving my Land Rover and didn't want her driving the Mini.... again 2100 miles and she still hasn't been driven by anyone but me and the 35 miles from the dealership.

Daily driver, with a 58 mile round trip. I park "selectively" in the lot at work, but don't go crazy with it. A few people park out past where Moses lost his sandals, but I don't feel the need ... I'm fairly comfortable with my co-workers. Doesn't hurt that my car is so recognizable.
Malls or other public lots are a whole 'nother ballgame. I find the loneliest spot I can, then congratulate myself for getting more exercise!

Both of ours are daily drivers - every day! Rain, snow whatever. Park normal, no special treatment. Yet to have any door dings on either.
Wife has a 20+ mile commute w/ her classic 74, and I have about 140 mile commute w/ my 03.

Daily Driver for my wife and glad that her commute is short! Would not be surprised if "Declan" wound up being a 4,000 - 6,000 mile per year vehicle.
STILL, though, park far away when possible.
"HINT" - Check out "overflow" lots at joints that have them....hardly ever used and as long as there's no safety issues, it's a good option.

It's been my daily driver for almost 8 years. I drive through everything but hail. Never parked anywhere special, but always with the back of the car lined up at the end of the spot.
I drive it almost daily, but being retired not to work or any set routine. Sometimes an hour or 4 hours depends on what strikes my fancy. One day I got in, headed west on I-80, and ended up in Elko, NV, had lunch, headed south to Ely, NV, had a snack and spent about $5 in the slot machines, headed east on US-50 to I-15 and north to home. A 550 mile cruise, great day!
DD and I love it!
I have always parked far in parking lots, other than where I currently work - we have very limited parking. It's a habit not just for the sake of my car but it's good to work in some walking especially when you drive a desk all day.

Mine will be used as a go to events and just driving around. Have other cars that I just cruise around in also, then we have the work car for the wife and as she says way to many cars. Car addict here!
