Keep Cup Coffee Mug

Loooong time NAM member, two time Mini owner, and just now finding the perfect Mini coffee cup Has anyone heard of this? I found it through one of my favorite blogs, and saw that it ships directly out of Australia. I just received mine about a week ago, and love it to pieces. I had to share it with anyone that wants something other than an official Mini product that you can customize to your liking

I'm a huge coffee fan, so it was kind of a big deal when I realized how perfectly this was made to fit in our cup holders. It's available here. It's about $25 to ship it over, but it's so worth it after the trouble I've gone through to find a good fitting mug!

I wrote up a little review here.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like a nice cup. One question though, does it fit the top cupholder? I personally do not like the botttom cup holders & use them for other things. One holds coins & the other my cell phone.

Thanks!

Ok, the real question is what size did you get, small, medium or large? I have one cup that fits my Mini, but sadly the place I bought it is out of business.

My current mini is an 03, and it didn't have that top/pillar cup holder that my old 04 had. This is why I've been struggling finding a cup to fit under the toggles! I keep my change in one holder/ashtray, and the Keep Cup in the other.

I got a medium, which holds a boat load of coffee for it's size. It's roughly the same height and width (at the bottom) of a coke can, which I'm sure you know fits nice and snug in the holders under the toggles

Back in my old mini, I actually used the top cup holder to hold my phone, and just drank soda on the road and put it under the toggles.

Ain't no liquid ever going to be in my car.

I do not allow food or drinks in my cars. That is a nice cup but it will never see the interior of my Mini.

Thanks! I don't drink coffee, but my wife is addicted. I cringe every time we go somewhere waiting for a spill. This should work great.

In a moment of desperation with full hands, I actually put my half full Keep Cup in my purse. Fully prepared to have to clean up spilled coffee, I pulled it out of my purse when I got in my house, and not a drop had escaped. I was shocked, but so very thankful it had the plug my last coffee mug lacked.

So I hope you don't fear the drink in the mini as much now

It's a very nice cup. I'd really like to know how much liquid each size holds.

I did some poking around their site & found out....

SM = 8 oz, MD = 12 oz & LG = 16 oz

I've ordered a medium & a large. I'll let you know how I like them & how they fit the topside cup holder in a couple of weeks when they arrive.

The two at the bottom of this page:

http://www.veritecoffee.com/store/in...204e804a4598e4

work great in the lower cup holders on a first generation MINI. My wife and I have one of each. In addition, Starbux also has a small one that is plastic with a screw on, well sealed lid for sale most of the time. The insert inside the plastic seems to change seasonally (e.g., they had a Christmas themed one last winter) and they often go on clearance when the new ones come out. They are about $9 full price but go down to $4 or $5 on clearance. I have one of these too, and can take a picture of it if you like.

MINI sent this to owners back in 2002 as a response to the complaints about the size of the cup holders...

My 2 Keep Cups arrived today. The 12oz one will fit in the lower cup holder. The 16oz one will not, it is too tall. It does however fit the large upper cupholder well. It is not a snig fit, but should work fine.
