Things you never noticed about your used MINI.

Ok, I'll start.

My good friend at work was having a discussion with me next to my MCS in the parking lot after the day was over. In the middle of the conversation, he decided to lean against the back hatch of my car, and leaning his body weight on my spoiler......which kinda made me look ..obviously.

I was just about to kindly bark at him when I noticed something very odd. The back window of my hatch seemed to spell out something. It seems someone had decals on the back inside of the window, and there was barely enough of a clean spot that with the perfect lighting of the sun hitting on it I could clearly read....

"SIGMA ALPHA (something cant remember, I think Phi)
1Cent Pledges"

I alerted it to my friend (which also made him get off my car, which was a win win) and he didn't believe me... until he saw it and we had quite a good laugh about it.

Has anyone else found something odd about their car months or years after owning it?

I decided to take the door panels off of my R50 to see what was wrong with my tweeters, and found the privious owners drivers licance. I learned that the car was from California, and the girl who owned it moved to Colorado to go to school (the whole 19 years old thing gave it away), then a month or so later I was pulling out the back seat and found an engagement ring. A quick Google search and I got in touch with the previous owner, and she was able to get her ring back.

I took off my front bumper and saw what a crappy wiring job the previous owner had done. It looked like they had to replace the left driving light and broke the connectors while in the process of doing so and just electical taped it the heck out of it! I have yet to find anything else.. but i wouldnt be suprised if i do.

I discovered that the hood had been repainted. Didn't know that. Nothing else seemed out of order, though.

I noticed that on the hood, someone wrote "swirl marks" with maybe a grease pencil. I didnt notice it until the light hit it just right cause only a ghost of it was there.
I bet it was the dealership grading the detailer! Or maybe when the prev owners got it detailed a few months ago... (I've had my car 25 days)

Another example of why I like this community of car owners. Very Cool
