speeding citation

Just a quick question. I was cruising down a highway and saw a police radar detect me from his car. After beaming me, he started to point at me to signal another police that was right next to him (in a separate car) to go and get me. The second police got in his car and pulled me over yada yada yada... question is, is that allowed? The one pulled me over wasnt the one that tagged me in the first place? For all he knows, he could have pointed to a different car.

PA has done that for years. They can use constriction vehicles around work zones. And use the radio to the cop in the cruiser to pull you over.

They do that here all the time on the highway. One guy will be radaring in a hidden cherry spot and then radio to a group of Sheriff's interceptor cruisers (dubbed a wolf pack), one of which will pull you over.

Our local police also have an unmarked F-150 that is done up like a construction contractor's vehicle (backrack, truckbox, the whole thing) that they love to park in construction zones and shoot radar with.

It's allowed but depend upon your state they may both have to show up to testify in court, depends what the burden of proof limits are in your state.

Were you speeding?

If you got a ticket and you think this isn't legal the best thing you can do is contact a lawyer and ask them.....

I mean, we don't even know where you live, let alone what the laws are in your area.

Yes, it is legal for them to do that. If you challenge it in court, the court may or may not require both officers to be there. If you want a trial, you have the right to subpoena both officers. But when you're found guilty, you've just added to the court costs the judge can add to your fine.

You should get a Valentine 1, then no need for this post. Lets face it, it's us vs them, what ever it takes to win.
