I have a project. Simple plan...make my Mini "High-Vis" as I have a crappy parking spot at the moment.

I have a dark grey mini, with dual bonnet stripes (factory) on the hood, a white roof and mirrors, but nothing on the back.

Now, I can just get reflective stripes to match the front though I think they be more of a grey than a white during the day. Replacing the front is fine with me if I need to match the color, but I was thinking of some sort of a wrap that either started at the side marker thin, then wrap around the back to the other side.

Another thought was a swoop starting down infront of the rear wheels and again going around the back.

If there is anyone interested in this, or has seen something cool that may work, please let me know. Basically I want the back to be easier to see at night, so even reflective viper stripes down the center (which I prefer) may be fine, but the wraparound look has me thinking that would be the best coverage for my purposes.

 

This isn't what I like really, but it pretty much sums up the goal of the thing.

As nerdy as it is, once i receive my copy of Forza Motorsports 3 from Microsoft Expertzone, I will try and outfit a mini with something of that nature. If you are still looking for something like that when i get it, will post a screenshot.

 

That would be great. I have many more important things on my to do list, so I will definitely be waiting to see what you can come up with. Looking at my quick photoshop, it needs more swoop, or something to tie in roof, hood, back like a good designer would know how to do.

Thanks for the link. I am having visions now of what may work. Last time I had visions I painted my 79 Seville like an American flag back in September of 01.

I am picturing a viper stripe in the front, tearing in half and looking like a streaming ribbon as it flutters over the front fender for the front. Basically looking like it was blown off the car. Maybe it can get thin and thick so it looks like it is twisted, then reconnects to a whole stripe in the back.


Too bad I am not much of an artist, though I may have to try.
