So my MINI's donezo... =(

So I was drivin down 94 this morning when someone cut me off in the slow lane and I had to swerve to keep from getting hit.....well my tires caught the grass n spun my car out.....next thing I know is I'm sideway looking into on coming traffic.....next thing ya know I'm upside down n the MINI's spinning in circles on its rood....I was able to climb out the passanger window with only a few minor cuts n bruises. Yes, I walked out of it surprisingly.

I took a couple pics of it upside down that I have to upload off my phone later n I'll post them up.

I'm so sorry to hear that...At least your MINI did it's job protecting you.

Gald to hear you are okay.

I'm curious to see the damage.

Wow! I'm so glad you are ok. I think you are the proof how safe a mini can be. Did the stupid a$$ who cut you off stop? People are in such a rush they don't care about the safety of themselves and others. Keep us posted.

Wow, so happy that you got out okay. People are so irresponsible, I can't believe that the person that cut you off didn't even stop!

Sorry about your MINI... ...good to see that it did its job protecting you and that you are OK.

You can always get another MINI but you can't always get another you!

Wow and Wow!! To see your car - it's amazing you walked away. Sorry to hear the other car drove off . Shame on them. They destroyed your car and almost seriously injuried you.

Well I guess you'll be getting a new mini.

Yes, glad you are OK. I totalled my '02 MCS back in November 2009. Rolled it in the process. Landed on the driver's side and crawled out through the sunroof. Only minor soreness from the seatbelt and three weeks in physical therapy for my upper back.

I've driven I-94 through Chicago and up in Wisconsin, so I have some familiarity with that area of the country. Interstingly, I find most drivers up there are more courteous when you need to change lanes then where I'm at now. But you always have your fair share of cutoff drivers.

Ouch! How fast were you going? Anything on your part that would have contributed to the crash, or was it purely because said person cut you off?

Looks horrible, glad you're alright and hopefully you'll be in a new MINI soon.

Wow, I hate careless people. It seems there are more and more careless/rude people on the road everyday. I know it sucks to lose the Mini, but you're ok, thats the most important thing.

On the car note, is insurance going to take care of it? Did they find the jackass that cut you off?

Wow, that is pretty dang scary. I'm glad you're OK. This is actually one of the reasons why I decided on getting a MINI. Sure they're nimble and fun, but without safety how will we get back behind the wheel tomorrow?

I always found it crazy when people would add tons of power to their cars, but then forget about the brakes and suspension. Thanks for sharing that pic, it's definitely going on my phone as a reminder of what could happen in an instant.

Congrats on escaping that mess without injury. The MINI looks like it is probably a total, but some of the bodyworks people can do wonders in this day and age. I would prefer a new replacement rather than a rebuild.

I was going somewhere between 65 n 70 I believe. Once I started to spin out I remember trying to attempt to counter steer but I don't know if I paniced and locked the brakes or not. But regardless with ABS it shouldn't of locked anyways.
