There is nothing better at the end of a long work day then going through the gears!

I wave at every manual MCS I pass - which is every one so far.

Yeah, I said it.

My '06 MCS is the first manual I have owned or driven. Still in the process of mastering taking off at stoplights but I love it!

Wife and I are addicted to manual transmissions.
The only auto is the Lincoln MK 8.

i was miniless for 11 months.....Longest 11 months of driving a snoozamatic.

My dad taught me how to drive manual on my 06 mini and am a true believer in a manual car, automatic has its "place" but a car, especially a mini should be 3 pedal

I for one cannot understand the obsession with a flappy paddle gear box!

58 Year old returning to the wonderful world of manual transmission'd cars after a many year absence (Did ride motorcycles all that time though) Bought my 2011 MCS Manual in November and loving it more every day. Did'nt even bother test driving a auto cooper (Though did test drive a paddle shifter 370Z. Hated it)

My dad made me learn stick on his '53 Opel in '64 before he would let me take my driving test. I have been on and off since then. My 2005 CVT Mini cured me forever. My 2007 S was stick and so is my new CM All4.

Count me in! Had to learn how to drive a manual when I was 13,(i am now 24) riding around with my brother in his little s10. He would be tired of driving around town and make me take over. Safe, right?

My Toys ALWAYS have Manual Transmissions

My Toys though the years
'59 & '66 Corvettes
'68 Camaro
'64 Impala SS
'67 & '95 Mustangs
'74 MG Midget

Current Toys
'36 Chevy Coupe Streetrod
'02 MINI Cooper S

ALL have had / have manual transmissions. Only issue I currently have is going back an forth between the '36 Chevy and the '02 MCS. The '36 is a 5-speed and the MCS is a 6-speed. I find myself driving around in 5th in the MCS after I've been in the '36 but far worse is trying to put the '36 into 6th gear, you find reverse. Really makes you cringe!

Manual was a must in my Mini (every car I have owned has been a manual). Plus add me to learning how to drive a manual in an old escort station wagon in the community college parking lot before I started drivers ed.

I am blessed with a wife who also can drive a manual.

I learned on my old 325i...and definitely wanted another manual when I went car shopping. A MCS with an auto sounds boring almost. What the heck am I supposed to do while I drive if I'm not shifting? Enjoy the scenery? HA.

My fiancee can't drive stick. If take my MCS to a trailhead and I like....break both my legs or my brain while hiking....I will inevitably die because she can't. Oh well :P

can't wait to go dig out my car and do the same!

Automatics are just plain boring, I always feel like I could fall asleep while driving them

6-speed here. Lots of around town driving. Rarely beyond 3rd gear when in town. But, I just love to punch it on a freeway on ramp and weave though the traffic on my way to 6th gear and over the limit. Too much fun.
