I have some excellent news! I'm heading to the practice rounds at Augusta in a few weeks and it is only 1 extra hour to go down 129!!!!

I have never been there and will only be "passing thru". Give me your thoughts, opinions and any help !!!

Any one else from Indy driving that way on Monday by any chance?

 

Can't help you on the drive I don't know where 129 is. I have been to the Masters many times and have played Augusta National with Lou Holtz. Try and park at least1/4 mile away or you will sit in traffic for an hour leaving. There is parking in neighborhoods all over the place. Depending on what day you go they play the par 3 course on Wed. I was one under par going into number 9, Lou Holtz put his ball in the pond and we picked up and headed to the first tee. Actually stayed overnight in a cottege overlooking the first tee.

 

That is some outstanding golf you were playing! I have never played it. Big Lou Holtz fan! 129 is the Tail of the Dragon. It looks fun to drive. I will take it very easy. Always a first time hahaha.

Thanks for the parking advice. I have been twice before but flew in and was bussed in so this should be interesting driving the MINI. I am already worried about where it will be parked.. A person's yard would probably be great. Hotel parking never good errrg.

I will be driving through there on my way. I hope my friend enjoys it enough that we can come home the same way.. Maybe make a few gos at it Maybe next year I can make it to MOTD.

If you are referring to U.S. 129, yes, when you get to the Tennessee/North Carolina border, you will be passing through the Tail of the Dragon. MINIs on the Dragon will be starting on April 28th. If you have never been, you should definitely take it.
