I knew where the clip was from..that's why I found it so funny. Edward Norton was in the movie.

I actually just saw it for the very first time about a few weeks ago.

Took my MINI to the mechanic today.... Power Steering is out, and so is all the fluid, all over the ground. Hopefully just a hose, but when did best case scenario ever happen? Last week I took her to a British car show, and drive, and got second place in class at the show. So she did good.
If anybody has a spare "Money Tree" they wanna get rid of let me know!!

Gave my R55S it's first oil change today at 5200 miles. I am NOT putting enough miles on this car. She needs a road trip something bad!

I decided to change my wheels from the factory silver color.....to black. Looks a little "meaner". What do you think?

IQ:

Dropped mine off at the dealer - time to pull the head unit and put in a new one. Hopefully this will eliminate the humming in Aux mode.

New left side convex mirror

Installed a convex mirror on the left side, like the cars had when I was in Germany. And I have on my bike. I'm kind of used to a wide angle view on both sides.

And changed the oil and put in a Dimple magnetic oil drain plug.

So I reset my oil inspection due message, and now it says "Inspection 15500".

Fair enough, but my question is, is that Inspection I or Inspection II?

Thumbs up Navy, I used to run a Camaro, it is very addictive.
So, I did the Seafoam treatment today in prep for the C3M run tomorrow ((Boots n Banjo's forever !!!!!) - GigglesMM ).
The idle smoothed out nicely, I had never done this but reading about the other MINIacs who did and knowing what a direct injection engine is going to suffer from that a std PFI wont, at 52K plus on the clock, this makes a lot of sense. What an interesting smelling cloud of smoke after the treatment. Didnt see any actual carbon bits but Im sure it did something positive. Used 1/2 container, prob wait 2 wks and do the othe rhalf, get prep'd for winter. Now to see if the mileage changes any, I could expect maybe a slight gain, fingers crossed, would recommend to all. There is another thread running on here w/ videos about how to do it, going slowly took about 15 - 20 min. This is something you dont rush.

Also upgrading audio, ordered Boston Acoustics SE35 3.5" 2 ways (ebay) for the upper door and M&K surplus 6.5" (deepsurplus) for the lower doors, total cost about $120. I'll put 3 or 4 hrs labor and 120 for a speculative investment to see how she sounds, stock speakers are ........ well, Im sure I dont have to elaborate now do I? I will post in the audio section w/ pix when they arrive, sounds like the "disintegrating" electric mirror control is going to be the highpoint of the install, Im doing the pass door first. Plan on keeping the Hammr for many years so gotta have some decent tunes.

Even though I am broke, my suspension is shot. I made some online purchases:

Koni FSD
M7 strut bar
Cravenspeed under tower indurators
2 new front shock mounts
powerflex control arm bushings...

just waiting for them to come in so I can get it all done.

Getting my winter wheels ready - dropped off one wheel at the Tech shop in my building where they're prepping it to be powder coated from stock silver to black. Best part is that I'm paying $30 for the powder and that's it. Labor is free.

Also bought my version of a winter tire - Bridgestone Grids. Can't wait for them to be all done and wrapped.
