A definite improvement. I also installed a BMS intake.

I also installed a Burger Motorsports intake.
Continued on with modifications.
Had Eurocharged 91 octane ECU tune and Magnaflow cat back exhaust installed.
😳 wow, did this ever wake up this sleepy Mini!

You know I’m all signed up for MOTD. Not quite prepped yet, but it’s coming in small doses.

Good Friday morning back! Hood stripes look great with sun hitting them. Looks like a perfect way to start the day... sunshine and a nice drive.

Changed to summer wheels/tires
(PS4S), +1/4 turn stiffer on front
Konis, and changed rear 25 hollow
bar from soft to medium setting.
Ready for the warmer half of the year.

Had my NM wheels clear coated to match my nice and shiny black JCW...

Clear coated NM wheels

I will need to wait a week or 2 before mounting tires to make sure the clear coat has fully hardened.

Godspeed Coilover Install

Finally got around to putting on the coilovers. Still playing with the ride height and dampening adjustments but so far I’m impressed with the ride quality. Didn’t know what to expect from a budget coilover but overall 100% satisfied so far. Install went pretty smooth as well.

First step of the maintenance planned for this year for our r52s vert. I have been planning to change the crank pulley for some time, as the car has 65,000 miles and is 16 years old. We are taking a vacation to Texas this summer and I didn't want to end up halfway there in limp mode because the pulley came apart. So, I decided to do what anyone would do with a bone stock car... I ordered an ATI crank pulley, tensioner, idler, and a WMW 15% sc pulley. Ordered on Tues morning and arrived on Thurs morning, 48hours to my door, thats AWESOME!! Changed those along with the belt and plugs. I was somewhat surprised to see that someone had already changed the tensioner, and the idler was toast. Honestly, the only thing that took much time was cleaning out the 6mm holes on the crank pulley to be sure everything was true to pull it. The 15% sc pulley is just what these cars need, usable power especially in the bottom of the rpm range! I am already happy with the power down low, and a much better whine! Oh... and I changed the oil too.
Now for some nice top down weather!
Thanks to WMW for the parts and AWESOME shipping time!!

160,000 mile oil change time

Reset oil life. Really Mini? I’ll will have 2 and almost be working on my 3rd one by then. No wonder there were n14 issues, especially if you go by that interval.

All fluids should be ready for MOTD. If my company makes me drive 5k in the next 17 days, one I’ll be pissed and 2 they are buying next round, $80 oil changes don’t make the wife happy but the Mini loves them.

Thanks.

Not yet, I'm still working my way through the HPDE levels toward a competition license. Planning to actually start competing with it early next year.

Had to make another Dayton trip yesterday, so had to wash all of it off.

14 days till I leave for MOTD. Getting 2nd vaccination tomorrow, swapping tires to Protenza RE71Rs on Friday. Then all that’s left is pretty much keep her clean, fluids topped off, pack, and leave for MOTD.
