"S" or non-S?
Both are incredibly slow in a straight line compared to a Vette. That's not what MINI's are about, IMO.
Well, you couldn't order a new one in Oxygen Blue now anyway. It's been discontinued.

Been on that route to Lancaster every week. Others call runflats "run rocks" and typically trade them in for regular tires. While runflats will get you fifty miles before flat, you have to end up somewhere where they have replacements. No standard size Mini tire is easy to find. So runflats will get you off the road... then what? This was a consideration of mine as I drive 60 miles round trip to work. This is another topic....sorry. Both cars are great and you will like either one. Best of luck to you. Have fun.
i was planning to get the S, but then i have read many turbo problems with the S, and i wanted to get a little more reliable mini in long term, so i went with the non-s clubman. i have put about 3000 miles on it for the last 6 months, it is fantastic, much better driving experience than the MB c300 i have.
it is even more fun when it comes to upgrading the suspension with the koni yellow shocks, nm springs, nm sway bar, and IE camber plates. like someone said in the forum, "will not be slow any more in corners".

I bought the most Mini Cooper I could afford to pay cash for, no payments for me. So got the S with Prem and sport package. I'm sure I would have been happy with a Justa if that had been the most I could get for the money I had to spend..
