Your First Aftermarket Product?

So, I recently bought my first aftermarket product for my MINI, it is a K&N Short Ram Intake. It was pretty simple to install, took about an hour. It only adds about 5hp, so I can't really tell a difference there, especially since I'm not messing with torque. However, I've noticed a gain of 2mpg on the average. The most awesome part has to be the sound. My MINI now sounds like it has Barry White underneath the bonnet. When I accelerate, all I hear is a loud low rumble that screams awesome. Since this was my first aftermarket, it was really the first time I got to spend beneath the bonnet of my MINI and I enjoyed every second.

So that's my first aftermarket product story...what is yours??

my first would be a shorty antenna. lame as far as stories go. Second was a Forge BOV spacer... also simple as heck to put in. Also got great sound out of it! But third was a set of H&R springs. Made me realize how simple these things are to work on!

Alta CAI. What a great way to accentuate the supercharger whine! Love it, to this day...

DDM intake. Also put on powerflex bushings and TSW engine damper at same time. A difference I can feel. The front end feels stiffer and more responsive. The intake makes the MINI sound like Chewbacca is coming down the road! Gained a few lbs of torque and some HP from it. MPG...eh hard to get economy when your foot is always down!

I took out that silly factory cupholder. Then I installed the iSimple so I can enjoy some tuneage. I've ordered M7 strut tower defenders and will hopefully get them any day now. I'll likely do a one ball exhaust and CAI. Maybe a 15% pulley if it won't affect (or effect, i think affect) my warranty.

Maybe if it's aftermarket

A K&N Cai and Falken Azeni RT 615-205/50/15 tires. What a change in the corners!
