I don't know about you but my dad saw a MINI with the clear bra and it was badly faded to a hideous yellow. I regret not getting an S Clubman but then, hearing so many complaints about the hood scoop melting, I suddenly feel better that I got a justa Clubman. I don't spend much time stomping hard on the gas pedal anyway.

I regret not having a bike rack for my MINI yet, but I plan to remedy that.

You guys will think this is funny:

My biggest regret is buying what I thought was a BLUE Mini only to find out that it was PURPLE! That's what I get for buying it after dark, I guess. The ad said blue though! (That's my story and I'm sticking to it!)

I also regret not realizing that it didn't have cruise control when I bought it.

I'm kinda kicking myself for not buying the 06 Chili Red MCS I looked at a couple days earlier.

Other than that, I've already fixed my other complaint about it: the stereo. The stocker is gone, replaced by a JVC KD-R900 and an 80Gb HDD full of MP3s.

'Bought mine used, but if I had bought the car new, there's absolutely nothing that I would have changed, not one iota. It's exactly the color, inside and out that I would have bought. It even didn't have the stripes which I really don't like. And it has every possible option that is available for the 06 cab. Full JCW from stem to stern, leather, heated seats, HK, carbon fiber trim everywhere, 18" JCW wheels, etc. It didn't come with GPS and I was glad of that because I like the speedo in the middle. And the offerings from Garmin are superior anyway, and I mounted a 765t just to the left of the tach. Perfect.

i regret the package i bought for dent removal. dealership went out of business and I dont know where to go (if anywhere) that services the warranty.

as far as options, i wish i had gotten nicer seats. i think mine is leatherette and it looks kinda cheap. i may cover the seats with seat covers since the leatherrette is pretty warm in summer.

What I have and why I like/love it:
Convertible S - Much better than a sunroof.
Manual Transmission - Fun to drive.
MFSW - Only way to get cruise control and the way to avoid those tickets only long stretch of road.
Cold Weather Package - Good on really cold days (heated seats, heated washers and mirror defrosters) or on those semi cold days when you drop the top (heated seats).
Ipod/Bluetooth - Bluetooth is excellent with top up or less than 50 with the top down. Ipod interface is not the best, but still beats spinning the dial on the Ipod.
HiFi - Sounds much better than the standard system in the convertible.
Auto lights and wipers - Just makes life easy.
Brown Lounge Leather Sport Seats - Extremely comfortable, looks good with chocolate top, pepper white and chocolate stripes.

Regrets, NAV System, but couldn't justify the cost.

I wouldn't regret the Nav system. Just get a Garmin 765t from Amazon for 209 dollars and a mount kit from Craven Speed and you're good to go. It's likely a better unit and you can mounted just to the side of the tach where it's easier to see and you don't have to shift your eyes as much.

Here's how you can mount it: http://www.cravenspeed.com/published...0051-3-lrg.jpg

I had a 2007 BRG 'justa' that had every option in the book, except upgraded stereo and NAv system.
I traded it last month for a 2009 Clubman S, Hot Chocolate. The S is kinda a basic model, cold weather package and such. I really miss the rain sensing wipers, the auto dimming mirror and oddly enough the bluetooth.
I wouldn't get a sunroof if I was ordering one, noisy. The additional power from the S is amazing, it feels like it wants to 'step out' at times.
The S is a 'must have' as well as the cold weather package. Both are a blast to drive.

I thought the rain sensing wipers and comfort access were extravagent considering the cost. Glad I got them because they are two of my favorite features. The others are: LSD, Cold weather, sport suspension and yes the sunroof. My only regret is not ordering the rear fog light just to fill the blank toggle switch.

Easily added I think I will leave it empty so I can have at least one regret.

Or you may find another use for that switch location and then you won't regret it.

I really regret not having the auto dimming mirror. Tinting my windows has helped, but I never realized how much that I would miss auto dim.

Now I guess I regret not getting a JCW tuned mini as I have so much damn fun pushing my Camden. I guess I will have to baby step tune it...

I regret test driving a JCW. I never even considered the car because of the price. Over a two week period I test drove the cooper auto/man, cooper s auto/man, the clubman and the convertible. I still don't know how I ended up in a JCW but once I was drove it, I HAD to have it and the deal was sealed. Now I want a clubman but not just any clubman, it has to be a JCW. I wish I never stepped foot in the car in the first place. It's fun hell, but until I stepped in it, I didn't know what I was missing. Ignorance can be bliss.

No regrets on what I ordered, just wish I could've ordered the JCW package (have to drive automatic due to disability) instead of just the S. My aftermarket mods have probably made it equal to but it would've been nice to be all factory (warranty).

At first I wished I had ordered the auto dimming mirror/garage door opener package but $500 seemed like too much money. I ended up buying a small black garage remote and have it attached to the flat plate behind the mirror that houses the rain sensor. Its a bit of a reach but works great and only cost me $25.

Tinted windows also make a world of difference as far as headlights in the rearview mirrors go!

Right now I'm regretting not ordering the Harmon Kardon stereo. When I hook my iPod up it sounds awful with the stock radio. I'm searching for some fixes. I don't want to have to get a whole new sound system.

I haven't done it yet, but I've heard it in other MINI's, reversing the front and rear speaker hook up. Do a search here, there's a great DIY thread on this subject. I'm doing it this weekend, and will follow up after I finish.
