What control systems will shut down on the Mini when electric power is shut off?

With all the problems Toyota is having regarding their throttle control I was curious as to what control systems Mini has and how they function. Naturally the various years of manufacture will come into play.

For example:

- Are the brakes electric assist or vacuum assist?
- Is the throttle controlled "by wire" or is there a mechanical linkage?
- Are there other critical systems on the vehicle controlled "by wire"?
- Is the steering controlled by electric assist or is it a conventional pump powered via a belt?

I'm sure others more knowledgeable on the Mini can bring up or address other items that I have not mentioned as the discussion progresses.
.

Thanks,

Second Gen's Power Steering and Throttle are electric, look on Electric Board for a 'sticky' "what's hot..." Thread to see Buss Control Circuits and when they power down.

Recommendation for 'run-away' Toyota's is to put shift in neutral, brake gently and then turn off the screaming engine after car is stopped.

Second Gen MINI's will turn engine off with Start Button when stopped (or nearly stopped), not sure that it would 'at speed'.
