Remodeling will begin in mid-January to convert Zimbrick’s Saturn of Madison dealership at 310 W. Beltline into a MINI-brand franchise. The MINI of Madison building will have 23,500 square feet of space, with 11 service bays, two detail bays and a car wash. Four models of new MINI vehicles and used vehicles will be sold there, Zimbrick said in a news release Tuesday, and it’s expected to open in May 2010.

 

Yup, this has been all the buzz at the Mad City MINI meets since this summer, and despite the challenges, it sounds like Zimbrick is really committed on making that opening date too.

Yeah yeah...I live in the Midwest, so I'm happy to see more Mini Cooper dealerships opening in the midwest states.

Although nothing major has every gone wrong in our travels, it's nice to know that a place that can fix your Mini Cooper is there.

Reassuring I guess.

The funny thing about the Des Moines franchise is that they also sell Hummers and they're essentially across the street from the BMW dealer.

 

I can't wait! What's funny is my roommate bought a new saturn from that place right before GM dropped its hammer on the saturn line. I hope someone can get them to join NAM and do the same discount Classic MINI does, then I can just go pick up my parts locally!
