MINI El Paso?

Finally! All of these years waiting for a MINI dealer here in far West Texas/Southern New Mexico will be over soon. I drove by the proposed future site of the dealership and they are finally in official construction mode. I enjoyed my roadrips to Albuquerque and Scottsdale for maintenance but as my MINI ages, I won't rely on dealers 100's of miles away. Jim McDowell(MINI Usa VP) told me while at MINI United in the UK that is was on its way so now I can believe him.

El Mini!

Now my Dad can get his MINI serviced.

Did you catch who the owners are? (Massey, Poe, Rudolph..)

J. Michael Cheatham and the Earnhardt Family show to be the owners of the Mazda dealership the new dealership is replacing and the BMW dealership next door is owned by the same so I can only presume it is the same. I don't know how other Earnhardt MINI dealers are but I hope we are happy.

I was told last year by the BMW guys that they were trying to expand to MINI. I just moved about an hour North of El Paso last year, but I've been dreading the first trip to Albq. Can anyone in the local area find out about a completion date?

I stopped by the BMW dealer today and they told me by the end of November. We will see about that. I didn't see any work being done in the new dealership area.

I drove by there a few days ago and it still looks like nothing has been done. I'm hoping they are hiding their progress but it doesn't look like it. I will attempt to contact them tomorrow if I have time.

Hopefully the 8th of December. We will see: http://www.elpasotimes.com/ci_138859...lpasotimes.com

Also, I already contacted the story writer and set him straight about "Mini" and "MINI".

I hopefully can get an oil change there this week. I hope all of the MINI dealer services are operational when the door first opens.

My oil service is scheduled for 9:00 AM today. I drove by last night and I'm surprised how many vehicles they already have.

Scheduled. While they were working on my vehicle, I was having a MA work up some numbers on an S just to see if the 2.9 for 60 months would bring it down enough for me to want a new one. Didn't happen. They were still $75.00 a month too much. They tell me this dealer is the largest MINI dealer in the world. It has a tiny outside lot, moderate showroom and then a large indoor bay. Even though they are open, grand opening is in February. Ashley, the SA is pretty hot! She came over from BMW next door.

I was wearing my white ear buds while speaking to my bank on my iPhone trying to find my payoff. I loved the red JCW Clubman in the back. I'm very happy with my Clubman but, as I have said, I just wanted to see if I could take advantage of the 2.9 for 60 months.
