Got hit by an unknown assailant.

I was walking out to my MINI yesterday when I noticed some strange looking dirt on my front drivers side wheel arch. I went to rub it off only to find it not dirt, but a series of scratches. I'm not sure when it happened, as it has been a snowy and icky around here the past couple of weeks, so Alyssa has been pretty dirty lately. I always back into parking spaces so I can exit them easier, so I am certain it happened when I was parked somewhere. Someone probably sucked at parking, scrapped my MINI, re-parked, and never left a note . I am hoping the damage is only on my arch, and not front bumper also, as there are a couple small scuffs on the bumper too. If its the arch it won't be too much to fix it, as an arch and paint would only be maybe $200, if the bumper gets added in also, it will easily go over $600. I will try to post some pictures tomorrow, depending how much snow we get tonight.

Cliff notes version: Someone hit my parked, 5.5 month old, MINI and didn't leave a note.

Yep, parking sucks and the chances of someone leaving a note are less than 1 in 50 anymore. Hope the damage is not too bad.

Sorry to hear about the MINI. Dirt on vehicles this time of year makes it even harder to detect damage. Never know, the oper of the other vehicle may have missed seeing the damage same as you.

But as a victim of parking lot hit and runs long ago when in college, either way it really sucks. Hope you get her fixed up soon.

This is why I wish I had a bubble around my car. This has happened to me multiple times, evident from the dings and scratches that bother the heck out of me. I hope it was just the arch, good luck with fixing it. Stories like this make me unlazy.... I think I'll park in the back at work tomorrow.
