Interesting, if you look on Google maps there seem to be lots of these salvage yards in that area - all different sorts of specialty breaker's yards....

I have to admit I was expecting something quite a bit different than what i saw. Scrapyards in my day were always out in the country among the weeds, it's interestting to see them in such a small place with block walls all around.

 

Any mini cooper ones in the Bay area norcal other than the one in Sacramento?

What do salvage yards do with the tires that come with the car?
I need a set and don't want to buy new.

 

BCGreen: Look on ebay; you will be surprised at the market for 'used' tires, most of which presumably come from auto dismantlers. I have bought several, and never been disappointed.
