OPTIMA Red Tops

COSTCO has OPTIMA 75/35 Red Tops model 12853 at $115.99 and a $25.00 rebate.

I put one of these in my old '02 MCS and it worked and fitted just fine.

This one's going into the '06 this afternoon.

I used the red top for more then 5 years on My Porsche with NO problems at all, the yellow deep cell on the boat also is excellant. If you have the extra $$$ for these they are well worth it

Ya I wouldn't mind one but I don't want the hassle of putting it in a r56

Nice to know the Optima red top is a direct fit. I'll most likely be putting one in next year.

Actually the 34R is a direct fit and a bit more powerful than the 35. But at under $100 I think this is a GREAT deal.

Just purchased one and yet to install. Any modifications needed?
Note: the $25 rebate ends 8/31/09

The 34 is the same size physically but it does not have the side termnals. However, at 90 bucks this is great.

No mods necessary, just keep the side terminals away from the body.

With the side terminals you could just let that sucker weld itself to the body.

Is the battery in the back of the R53?
