I kind of like it. It sets the car off at night. Sure it's not very functional, but neither is putting stripes on your car. All it is, is just another way of customizing.

Makes me think of the fast and the furous too much..

They got those kinda lights on that movie.
Too Fast to Furious was even sicker!
I have seen those mods (lights) at Auto Zone and Kragen....they are sweet! Especially if the lights go from left to right like Knight Rider, that would be a sweeter modification.
You gotta rent the "Too Fast" triology before you begin the mod proccess

Wondering if there is a bigger wing for the GP available? The Big Wing mod.
Then the LED light display mod I can pick up those mods at Auto Zone Racing or Kragen Motorsports or maybe the LA swap meet (the underground scene)
I am gonna have a Unique MINI, one of a kind, the only one like it. Thinking about Lambo doors on the whip too. What do you guy think? The only MINI with those mods in the country. My MINI's gonna be like "Hey, look at me, fellas"
Yo I was just kidding, bit of oh sarcasm

That isn't my car. That is a ImagoX's (a NAM member) former MINI. Sadly that MINI has since see its last ride after taking a roll on the dragon a few years back. He now has a black eyed purple MINI though.

It's so funny when people don't admit to liking the "Fast n Furious" movies and they've watched it a dozen times. Don't be afraid to admit it guys, you all liked it! I'll admit, i've watched them about a dozen times each. It's kinda like when ya'll use to jam to vanilla ice's "ice Ice baby" and none of you will admit you ever liked that song to this day. You know back in the day, that song was everywhere, yes, even on your radio in your car......

I have to agree. I can honestly say I love those movies... quoting movies is one of my favorite things to do anyway haha... I can practically have a conversation in movie quotes.

As far as LEDs and underglow, I'd have to say thats the style of the first f&f. Like I said before, I feel the way the OP did it is fine since its not on all the time.

LOL!!!! That is the quote of this thread. IMO I'm not into the lighting, but I don't have too look at it either. I agree with some of the ppl on here with do what you like - it's your car - you drive it.

idk guys im thinking about it. i have a Dark gray coop and looking to put red lights on it. just for the every now and then look of diff. looking to maybe just do interior engine. idk i kinda like the look every now and then. it cant be put on all the time. honestly to drive into a group at night with the lights on is an eye catcher. i mean why not add some colors to your car at night when the LEds cost $1/12" from china lol. also looking at doing the mod where its connected to the dome light. anyone know how thats done? as well as making a switch.

still i think its a nice look for photoshoots and evening showing.
just my two cents.

I'm not sure if the interior light wiring is different on Gen2s(not to mention if its different on cabrios), but i did this earlier this year. Basically to wire it to come on and off with the dome, you have to tap directly into the hot side of the interior lighting circuit. This is most easily done at the driver's side footwell light.

As far as a switch goes, really no need IMO. You can always manually turn on the dome when you want the scoop lights on. Just replace your dome/footwells with matching colors and you are good to go.

Mine is starting to feel like it is too bright, note one Oznium 6 LED pod in the scoop is OVERKILL. Its what i used in my dome light, and if you look in the gallery you can see how ONE of those lights my whole cabin up at night.
