Go fetch him and me both a beer, newb.
I'll let you do it for him. Besides, it'll give your knees a break!

So, not only are you a newb, you're a 16-year old newb.

Welcome to the board, kid. I'll be seein' you around.

And who the hell says "oh snap" anymore ??

Ps. I suggest you read the Site Guidelines before you get yourself booted.

RESPECT
When posting, both members and vendors must ALWAYS be respectful of fellow members and vendors. Personal attacks, trolling/baiting, deliberate antagonizing, and flaming will not be tolerated. If you feel you are being attacked, report the post or private message rather than replying or flaming back. However, do not use the report bad post feature to "cry wolf" when you are in fact the instigator of the demise of a discussion. Doing so will result in an infraction or strike.
I suggest you two read them also. I'm trying to have a discussion here and you guys try to derail the thread with seniority/postcount bullying. Seriously, who cares? Do you still brag about gold stars on your grade-school homework?

The bottom line is that if you want me to respect you, say something to me worth respecting. Don't come in with this ridiculous attitude that I have to instantly worship the ground you walk on. This is an Internet forum.

Now with that out of the way, Gil-galad and miniclubman, thank you for your input.

Calling someone a newb and teasing them about fetching a beer is nowhere near insinuating one poster is fellating another. And if you think it is, you're not too bright.

I'm not asking you to respect me. I'm telling you to not show blatant disrespect with your disgusting insinuation. I don't know what kind of message boards you come from, but we don't talk like that around here.

The rest of what I have to say to you, I'll save for another, more appropriate time and place, newb.

Back on track....

really, with the major updating more than a year away, that's a long wait. While I think the center stack sucks, that didn't stop us from buying our clubman (2nd Mini). So, the 2010 MY isn't going to be much different, and that leaves buy now, wait a bit to get 2009s at a deal when the 2010s come out (short wait) or really suck it up and wait for the 2011 MY cars.

I like immediate gratification. While re-sale isn't what it was in 02 (some sold thier cars for more than they paid), there is little risk in buying now, and upgrading if the 2011 really, really grabs you.

Also, the best thing about the Mini is the handling and driving experience, not the interior ergonomics. I vote for getting now, and get driving!

Welcome to NAM!

Matt

Hehe, thanks

I definitely think waiting for the MY 2011 is just waaaaaay too long to wait. I'll likely compromise and wait until the end of MY 2009 to then either, like you said, get a good deal on an '09 or wait just a tad longer for a new '10.

Still, it's frustrating to know that a model LCI is so close yet so far away. I want to be comforted in knowing that a new premium sound system is coming, but honestly, who buys a car like this to lose themselves in music while driving?
