DAMN KIDS! --rant--

Driving home tonight from a friends house, as I was passing a cemetery, some kid threw a plastic bottle of water at my new Mini. I saw it coming and tried to hit the breaks, but not enough time, it hit me on the left front bumper cover, and then the warning light came on, @#$%*#@ kids. I stopped at a well lit store to see what the damage was and I guess I was lucky, not a mark on her, but the warning lite kept coming on as I drove on home (I thought about going back and chasing them just once around the cemetery, but I thought better than to go drifting in a cemetery). After I arrived home I took another look with all the lights on and there it was, my Parking Light on the left side is out, @#$%*#@ kids.

I guess, all in all, I was lucky, if I hadn't hit the breaks, it probably would have hit the drivers door and I'd have a dent now instead of a dead light bulb. @#$%*#@ kids.

I think I won't tell the dealer about the bottle and make my first warranty claim, how much can a bulb cost anyway

DAMN KIDS!

Bulbs ocme in set of two and should be able to find it for under $5 for the package. That sucks though.

What warning light were you getting? (just worried there might be something sub surface that got damaged too)

It sorta looks like a "glowing bulb" with an exclamation point in it, it came on and "chimed" just after it happened, comes on and stays on for a few seconds when I start the car now. You can "peck" on the lens and hear the broken glass rattling around inside, hopefully I won't have to get a new assembly, just a new bulb. Damn Kids, no respect.

Ok Dinosaur, how about this one. My lease, Gaia was minding her business, sitting in the garage while my husband and I were on vacation. One night, my brilliant brother decides to let a "friend" and two people he did not know stay in our house overnight, TWICE, while we were on vacation.. These kids then come back to our house and rob it while my brother was in school. To top it off, they go to the garage, steal my sunglasses from Gaia, break the license frame trying to get into her trunk and key the bumper and the driver rear panel as a goodbye present. Gaia was to be turned in the next week so that I can by my new baby Simone.
I lost about $500 in value on the trade-in. %&$#)$*% kids!!!

Oh crap! Your brother and his "friend", together, wouldn't have enough Butt between them to fill the sling I'd put them in for that. I just wonder what people are thinking sometimes, or not thinking, as the case may be.

75 Cosworth Vega ? that reminds me of when I was in High school, I had a Vega, there was about 3-4 kids crossing the street trying to go really, really, slow so that they would make me stop, so I pushed the clutch in rev'd the motor up, then lit the tires up those kids (they were in HS also) got out of the way real quick like... oh yeah I kinda added a little horse power to the vega.. had a 350 in it. they didn't expect that
Bummer on your MINI thou. why don't they ever do that stuff to the ugly cars!

If you shoot one in the air, do you ever worry about where it may come down?? They don't stay up in the air forever.

Better option: Paintball marker. Might be a little larger, but there are paintball pistols...

Even better option, starting pistol. No projectile, but still a loud bang

P.S. - I'm fairly certain all 3 'solutions' are illegal.

Whose to say he wasn't playing paintball with his buddies? Do I look like someone who would own a paintball gun officer?

It looks like the housing is okay, but when I removed the bulb socket (3), expecting to find a broken or burned out bulb (4) , there was none, the socket is empty. I don't see it inside the housing, so where did my bulb go?

If it was a teenage Criss Angel, your bulb might be in the water bottle...
