Bit of a long shot but here goes............

Story is, bought something from Bond in Japan and thought I'd arrange my own collection through UPS as it was $400 cheaper than what Bondhad quoted for sending the parts to me. Turns out that I need to either have a UPS account to utilise import services from Japan or pay with a Japanese credit card, neither of which I have.

Would anyone with a UPS account be willing to have this on their books if I paid? I can verify my credentials to anyone willing to help.

The package will be going from Japan to the UK.

You can open a UPS account yourself online with a credit card in about 10 minutes. I did recently for an international shipment.

I did open an online account but the site kept coming up with an error. I then called the UK HQ of UPS and was told that I needed to open an account whereby I had to send X number of parcels per month or pay with a Japanese credit card.

I'll try again and maybe call them again.

 

When I opened my US account, you had to estimate number of weekly / monthly packages... so I entered non-zero estimates. Doesn't matter.

 

Will they ship it Fedex for you? if so set up an account with them, you dont need to ship a set number of packages everyday

 

UPS website in the UK won't let me ship from Japan to the UK. FedEx online quote made me laugh, something like 200000000000 JPY
