In the Snow

I picked up my MINI back in July and was a little worried about in the snow. I have always driven Jeeps or pickup trucks so a MINI was new for me. In my Jeep i could just clear the windoes kick it in to 4wd and go. Same with the pickups. Well anyone whole lifes in Fairfield County CT or the tri-state area knows we got hit hard yesterday with snow. So i dig my car out and was a little worried. I was very inpressed with it. I don't have snow tires or anythign like that but it still handled great. i was actually drifting it around the parking lot at work. The snow was nice and packed down. it was a blast until the cops came by. They didn't think it was so cool. The only thing i really had to get used to is the fact that i have to have a strong grip on the wheel. A jeep or Pickup will just blast through those mounds of snow on the road with no problem. Where the MINI gets pushed around a bit by them.

Now for my Question. I have the Cold Weather Package and I love it. Heated seats rule. But How do you know if the heated washer fluid is working? Do you have to have the defroster on or does it come on automaticly?

And drifting this car inthe snow was as much fun if not more that blasting through snow bangs in a Jeep. The car slide perfectly out of contro9l but still in complete control.

After more than 6 years, I have yet to figure out how or if the heated washer jets work.

If you are going to do handbrake slides and J-turns in a parking lot, only do one or two, then leave and move on to the next lot a few blocks down.

I would have gone to another lot but our lot has a circle to it. and there were no cars so i could see everything. Plus io had to show off for my staff and a whole bunch of guests that were having a blast watching.
