Did everyone get free stuff with their MINI?

It seems that everyone I talk to got some free stuff thrown in when they purchased their MINI, such as accessories or floor mats. I got nothing, not even the floor mats. They had a really cool watch in the showroom with a MINI logo on it that I asked the manager if he could throw it in with the car. He said he didn't have a problem with it. Then I asked him again after signing all the papers and no watch. I would have really loved some accessories.
Did you guys get anything with your MINI?

I think there is a thread somewhere that addresses this issue.
Anyway, I wanted the rubber floor mats, but was denied. I think that is the accessory that some of the buyers out there received.

I received the rubber floor mats complimentary when the car was delivered. At a later service visit they gave me two Mini hats (blue and red). I have also received lanyards, air freshners, and zig-zag-zug *****. With my '08 I was mailed the adventure field kit with mini "nub' pen, journal, dice antenna cube, window decals, mouse pad etc. I thought this was very thoughtful of the dealer and Mini.

Oh yeh....I received the base mini watch as a gift (125.00) and the watch strap tore near the end after one month. I called my dealer and there is a recall on the watch. They got me a replacement and the dealer tested it before mailing it to me. It tore also. The authorized repair center in RI needed a receipt to just look at it. My dealer just credited me back the money. I think the dealer has done a great job!

We got a couple of key chains. The only complaint I had with my dealer. Stingy on the freebies.

I got the carpet Clubman mats. I had them on my original order, and thought I'd be paying for them, but when it came time to write the check, the cost was left off the final amount. At first I feared it was an oversight, and didn't want to mention it lest they tack it back on. But they were a freebie. I was also given a CR MINI plush toy (cute!) when I ordered, plus a shirt and travel mug at delivery. The Adventure Kit came a few weeks ago.

If you pay sticker price (didn't we all)......then there should be some consideration. Mine came with fliud silver interior that I didn't order and they didn't charge me for that either.

On our first Clubman we got Clubman floormats and rear cargo tray. On the second one we got JCW mats, rear cargo tray, windshield sun shade and 25% off 2 sets of splash guards for both Mini's.

Besides getting taken at the dealer ship, yeah they threw in floor mats, boot mat and a sun shade. So I guess in the long I really didn't get them.

$250.00 Military Appreciation Extras...

I bought my 09 MCS at the BMW MINI Center of San Antonio, TX. When I placed my order I jokingly asked about a military discount, which I did not expect. However, they did offer as a military appreciation to throw in $250.00 worth of accessories at no extra charge. So, my front & rear floor mats, boot mat, windshield shade, and MINI die-cast car did not cost me anything... except over 13 years military service with recent 15 month deployment in Iraq.

Nothing. And no adventure kit yet, either. When I got my 2004 MC it seemed like I got a package in the mail monthly for about 4 months.

We drove off the lot with Carpeted Floor Mats...unsuspecting, I thought for sure the MA was going to remove them before he let us go. We also got key chains and a bundle of MINI Car Care Products tucked nicely away in the cargo nets.

I got MCS mats, and a lanyard. The mats were courtesy of my MA, he's on the forums and just got a JCW to make me jealous. Since then I got the adventure kit, and a 10% off installed accessories coupon- saving that for JCW stage 1
I also bugged them for the MCS jack, but that's a different story.

i recieved some rubber mats w/ mine. FINALLY got the jack kit today. Mine already had some of the parts, like a tow hook/ screwdriver/ect so now i have 2 of some of them lol.

needless to say i was more stoked to get the Outmotoring keychain w/ my beltline blackout kit today, versus the mats from the dealer... mats are expected in any car lol

MA = Motoring Advisor.

One can always ask, but they really don't owe you free stuff so don't be too disappointed if they can't do it. Enjoy the MINI!!!
