Makes more sense if you know his registered name was Yorkfold's Elementary My Dear Watson.

CA allows 7 letters, and my dad and I had a 57 MGA years ago, plate was "MYOLMGA". I did a variant of that. MY R56S. Not very creative, I know, but I had a LOT of ideas in mind that were already taken. CA personalized plates go quickly.
