MINI USA -- Are you lurking?
I just wanted to say thanks.
I took delivery of my R53 two years ago, while stationed overseas. My car and I just returned to America, and I registered the VIN through my local dealer.
Imagine my surprise when the mail came today and there was a package from you. And new books and manuals for my glove compartment.
Very nice of you. Very nice, indeed.
Thank you. It was a very nice gesture. And while I certainly miss my European Mini motoring adventures, I do feel welcome here in America.

yeah isn't MINI great. did you get the Essential Motoring Nonessentials yet. I just got my cover for the toggle switches that renames all the controls to cool James Bond car stuff, and the every month they send a bill of which I'm more than happy to pay, not online mind you, it a reason to drive to the post office.

Thanks for serving our country and welcome back to you and your MINI! I hope your overseas experience was a positive one. My daughter will be stationed overseas starting in January.
I've read some of your posts and many of your links. First, THANKS for serving. Second, THANKS for being a mini owner. It's people like you that make the commaderie such a joy. We at least get to live vicariously through your life.
Congrats again, and welcome back.

Well, shucks. I feel like i'm just getting started with the Mini -- for example, we're "driving" to Maui this weekend. yes, there's irony is driving from one island to another, but, hey.....
The Ring
Autobahn
The Alps
and now the road to Hana.....
Somehow my 8 mile drive to work today is realllllly going to feel exceptionally boring.
Have a great time... watch out for dumptrucks. (almost got hit going around a corner by one)

Dragon: Been going at least twice a year for the last 8'ish years. Mini, corvette, sportbike, blah, blah, blah.
Autobahn: Been on it, just never in my car.
Road to Hana: Drove it but in a jeep.
Been on most of the most popular tracks on the right coast but that's about my extent of cool driving experiences.
