My first day with my MINI

So I have been adoring Mini Coopers for years and yesterday my parents suprised me with one. 2004 British Racing Green Auto with Stripes. Beautiful. This is the account of my AMAZING day.

Once I got over the fact that it was not a joke and she really was mine, I HAD to see what she could do. After tooling around till 5:00 PM I was on my way home when I got pulled over. 44 in a 35. Its a good thing i wasnt caught earlyer. lol. But i got a ticket never the less. I kept a good attitude. A ticket in my dream car is better than any other ticket. Then i went home.

Late that night, around 2:00, I was talking to my friend and we were both hungry. So I go to pick her up because I just cant stop driving this thing! Right as I am pulling up, I run over lots of glass and pop a tire. Again, I kept a good attitude, took care of my car like a good owner does. We ended up having an awesome night.

SO (this is the part which makes the whole thing better) I went to get my new tire at NTB. I got it patched and my Mini was back in action. Went to pay and they just waived the fee and told me to have a nice day!
So the moral of the story is, keep a good attitude about every bad thing because out of every bad thing comes a great thing! I've only had my Mini for a day, but I already have some great stories!

Thanks, Gig'em, and God Bless

I believe it was Carson Daly that said "Karma is the best policy", but my names not Earl.

Glad you got to enjoy your MINI despite the mishaps. These little cares can really make a difference on a persons attitude. Happy motoring!

It was a great day. I still have to go to the courthouse and see about that ticket. Maybe that will work itself out too! In fact, my insurance company doesn't know i switched cars yet so the mini doesn't actually belong to anyone until my registration comes in sooooo, my insurance may not go up. LOL.

It's harder than you think to pull a fast one on an insurance company.

I am not trying to pull anything. I would never do that. But if Mini Magic happens, I wont complain!

If you see a DS S with black stripes and black scale union jack roof graphic in southside garage it belongs to my son. Class of 2010, in the Corps.

PS Watch out for the locals in Hearne and Calvert.

Glad you had a great first day. My first day consisted of a full tank of gas and a speeding warning. It's in the MINI blood.

sounds like a great first day

on the 1st day of getting my R53, i immediately showed it to my friends in our car club (they helped me remove the tint in the front and doors coz the previous owner had it tinted all the way round), had 1 or two cold ones, went home with a grin

they probably waived the fee coz they thought you were cute

Aggie -

Sounds like a pretty wonderful day. I'm sure you have a perma-smile going on. Remember to hug your folks - they sound like good people. And keep up the good attitude - it goes a long way. Pics please.

Happy Motoring - Chuck

His name is James, if you see him tell him Howdy. Be sure to thank your parents by keeping the MINI clean and keeping your grades up. The grades actually should be first, but I am guessing that you must already be doing that or you wouldn't have gotten the MINI. Good luck, have fun and be careful. Don't forget the pictures.

Here are some pics. I named her Abigail. Abby for short. I named her after Abigail Adams. Long story, dont judge.

But it also sounds kinda British. you know Abby Road...

I dont know if she likes it though. Its been cold and every time i get out of the car, she shocks me. So it may change. lol.
