No, but I do live amounst the hills of Tennessee.

I like it myself. If I ever get into serious off road rallying that's how I'd like to set up a MINI. Plus add a full roll cage and skid pan.

I've been throughout much of Tennessee myself, Hal. Beautiful state.

This just goes to show that every MINI is beautiful to someone.

That off road MINI looks like it came out of WRC or something, I love it!

I saw a gen2 VW Golf done up like that offroad Mini - what a great build. I think they used coilovers and slightly extended springs, but you have to worry about CV joint angles and alignments... I like it as an alternative... hey, maybe that's the new "Crossman"!

That PW does look good. Makes the Mini look more like a traditional rally car like it's supposed to be, nothing wrong with that.

You two don't understand the definition of "RICE". Blacking out of bits or using carbon fiber is not rice. Rice is ridiculous body kits, wings, stickers, excess LIGHTS (likes the ones you want to put on your roof like a freakin' hick ford truck), fart cannon exhausts, lots of decals, ugly rims, etc.

Alright. Even though I agree with most of your post, I'm going to have to chew you out for the hick Ford truck comment. I personally own a 02 F-250, and also love the Mini's, but sometimes, especially if you are off-roading, or even doing a lot of night time work, an overhead roof light bar can be the difference between life and death. Now I realize there are hicks out there, but a lot of the time too, guys who want to seriously go mudding or offroading or whatever, will buy an older, cheaper, truck that may not look the greatest, and load it up with goodies for the open country. This way, they aren't beating the crap out of a perfectly nice truck.

do they really make a fart canon exhaust? I would love to make farting noises while driving around. That is a wonderful idea.
unless you're just talking about those fat tube like exhaust pipes that try to make a small car sound like a harley, that is kinda rice.

I am down with it. I want like at least a minimum of 8 driving lights. Cause in the country it gets dark. And also someone riding with their brights on needs to have their front bumper melted off and their retinas burned to a crisp.

And whoever owns that PW should be shot. And hung. Not necessarily in that order.
Well, he may be hung, but I think you want him hanged.

I'm actually ok with them flashing.
I am turning the mini into an ice cream concession vehicle and like the idea of crazy blinking roof driving lights.
illegal? don't know, I've seen other ice cream trucks with stobe roof lights, which are supposed to be illegal as well.
the bulbs in the hellas are only 100 watt driving lights instead of higher wattage spot lights
black roof, but have been chroming it out as well recently with mirror caps and some chrome silver pin stripping.

the link above mentions 2 relays tied to each turn signal. Think I'll try that with a fuse between them. better yet, would be to add a switch between them as well, so I could use the hazard lights as regular hazard lights without roof lights flashing.
I have the fuse holder, switch, lights, brackets, extra wires, relays, just need to wire stuff next.

mounted to the roof rails with Stainless steel u-bolts. unfortunately, had to go to 6 hardware stores and only found 3 ubolts of the perfect size, temporarily using some door hardware until I can get the last ubolt. once I get that, I will hook up the wires.
As a very vain person, I love the ability to see myself driving while looking up through sunroof at chromed backed lights. also great to see the ice cream cone, to make sure it stays on.
What, no sprinkles? ...I get it...understated!

Liked the idea of a real fart canon. Figured i could get some heat resistant flexible compressive tubing to apply to the muffler for a sort of artificial sphincter. so off to the hardware store i go to blow through rubber tubes to make fart noises, actually works. I figure with running the AC, that a little bit of fluid coming out with the exhaust would really give the farts some gusto.

but i imagine that the flat end of the tubing would make the exhaust gases more difficult for exhaust to go through, potentially damaging the catalytic converter with back gases.
I might try it on my sisters car.

I take back what i said about black trim instead of chrome, saw an '09 the other day with factory black trim that looked pretty sweet.

The AT tires on that PW are a bit too big, but I like the look. MINIs have a pedigree as a rally car and this is a great homage to it. I think if it were to have OZ Superturismo WRC wheels and tires a bit more realistic to WRC, It would be great.

Got the PIAA lights and I want to mount it on my roof rack. But I have no idea where to take it! I am not capable of doing this myself...Would rather take it to a shop. Anyone here from Southern Cal that can make a recommendation?

It's the Yakima Load Warrior. Super easy to install. Practically zero wind noise. I got these PIAA 1400 series fog lamps that I want to install but I have no idea where to take it.
