Yep...it's a whole new concept in MINI control mechanisms -- but it might take some wizardry to figure the dang thing out...

Regarding the Crossover, I'm reserving judgement for the closer-to-production version, because we all know how much the Clubman changed when from it's original design. Also, if there's an AWD MINI I can see it taking over the rally scene.......... And if so, that's a good thing.

Disagree. Doesn't look nearly that good.

This looks like it can fill the void that the rav-4/crv left when they upsized into mid-size suv's.

I'm mixed, the fiance just saw pics and decided its going to replace her bug so I guess I'm in now....Build it!!!

Why can't they keep the same face of the second gens, but have the 4-wheel drive, 4 doors, and new snappy interior?

If the car comes out looking like this, the brand won't last the year (of it's release).

I think the car looks pretty ugly and hope it doesn't get released but I bet that's what the Mini owners thought about the first MINI and even the R52 owners have their disagreements about the R56.

If this car comes out and makes its way into your local MINI club, what are you going to do? Might as well get used to it now :P

I would have rather seen this concept become the Crossover look. IMO it has more of a MINI character.

The more quirky cars the better, and the quirkier the better. It frees the next manufacturer up to try something different, instead of every manufacturer lining up to make yet another clone of some existing 'successful' car they feel is safe to offer.

One of those innovative or quirky cars may ring my chimes, but I'll never get to see it if no one builds it. Even though the PT Cruiser bores me to tears, I was happy when it first came out - it meant to me that if a major manufacturer was going to do this, others would come out with interesting retro ideas, and maybe some Jetson's varieties too. It was a departure from the ordinary and once off the beaten path, exciting things may happen.

Bring on the Rhino. Bring on the diesel Rhino.

MINI purists always have fits of angst over any change whatsoever...you name it.

As much as I like my MINIs small, I must say that if Mini could make the Moke (ugly as they come ) then I say why not this? It serves a legitimate function/purpose given our modern roadways.

It's the incest love child of the Infiniti FX45 & FX35 cute in an ugly sort of way. The look only a mother could love and immediate family such as ............ us

Excellent, articulate insight; you have changed my view of the concept car! Thanks!
