So i want to put on a Front Strut bar on my r56 cooper s. I like the look of the m7 bar but have read posts on this forum that on the 1st gen minis it would rub against the hood and actually bend the hood out. Has anyone had this happen on there 1st gen mini twith the m7 strut bar? And does anyone know if that will happen with the new r56 bar? Or can someone recommend a good front strut bar?

And i know the m7 bar isn't out yet so i know no one will have it but it still worries me that the 1st gen had a problem with it.

It seems to be hit or miss with the hood bulge. Not really confined to one specific year or anything like that. Some said it may be very minor construction changes.

Does the front strut bar you offer have the bulge problem? That is what i want to avoid
