My MINI's first ferry ride

I took my daughter blueberry picking at Rose Berry farm in Connecticut. This ferry ride was an unexpected bonus as guided by my gps.

Now, that's quite a congregation.

The ferry I took usually only fits 3 cars total, but when I crossed, there was a another mini behind me, so they were able to fit 4 cars.

A guy in his truck was saying with gas prices these days, it was much cheaper for him to take the 3$ ferry than to drive an extra 18 miles to bypass it, but he admitted that probably didn't apply to my car.

I feel sorry for "big" cars and trucks.

Some pictures. You can see in my blind spot mirror the tugboat that pushes the ferry barge across. That would be a fun job.

I wonder if the MINIs reminisce about taking the long boat over from Oxford.

MINI 1: Hey you. Dark Silver with the stripes.
MINI 2: Yes?
MINI 1: Do you think we'll get a meal service on this trip?
MINI 2: Nah. That's only on the trans-oceanic voyage.
MINI 1: Oh, bummer. What about a movie?

Blueberry picking sounds fun. We'll be taking ours (both MINI and daughter) to the pumpkin patch in October.

I moved

I still post on HR

The dark silver and white in the front row is mine as is the orange classic in the second row.....

I had an assistant driver to help build the numbers when we hi-jacked the Jamestown ferry

'twas a blustery day....

ferry ride

Took my mini on the Ocrakoke ferry. Since there is only one road on Hatteras, it ends at the ferry dock, so took my mini on a cruise and a ride along the beach, through the maritime forrest to Blackbeards hideway.
2005 mcs with Dinan goodies aboard. I recomend it.
