Respect to MINI owners
Before getting my mini, I've been driving around (and still do) a BMW 4.4i X5....a beast of a car. Its all blacked out and intmidating. Drivers are usually more accomodating in "giving way" or letting you pass by and no one dares honk the horn at me.
Then came the mini. Its now my daily driver here in Los Angeles. Since getting it I've been:
- honked at
- cut-off many times
- an occasional middle finger
- and most of all....NOONE gives way.
Is it me?.....or have any of you guys experienced the bullying?

I've never noticed them in my rear view.
Okay seriously, Don't mind them. I'm pretty sure they're just jealous of your 37/28!* Just smile and give them a

Yeah, what they said...actually, I find I have as much problem with other vehicles when I drive my F150 Supercrew, too. Different KINDS of problems - people like to get too close to the back end of the truck, especially when I park. Folks like to try and beat me out (whether I'm playing or not) when I'm in the MINI. I think folks get too close to the back of the MINI just to read my motoring badges...
So I "combat park" both vehicles (back into parking spots) and I am now much more aware of all vehicles, no matter what i'm driving.

Along the lines of what Andrew mentioned:
If it's a woman that's getting all upset, I wink and smile while mouthing "call me" while my hand is making the phone sign...

Anything that resembles flirting with them usually results in them giving up in disgust. Sexist? Most certainly... But it makes me laugh and I no longer feel compelled to make an attempt at beating any sense into them...

I don't expect anyone to "give way" for me in any car. I expect that I need to find room and work with traffic.

And yes I do understand driving in SoCal having driven there many times while living in the southwest.
Where I am from it does not matter what you are in ,many people only know gas, brake, HORN . if you don't roar away from a red light instantly HORN, if you do roar away from a red light some one will run the light that just turned red and hit you. People pass you just to turn in front of you. It is probably true a few people are more aggressive towards the MINI than other cars, but it is also true many more people are driven to grins
by it than any other "normal"
car I have owned.
