I'm almost have 26,000 miles on my MINI now, and after seeing this thread: Don't wait for the Dealership to change the Intake Filter!

I think it might be time to replace mine. I'm debating between the OEM and K&N Drop In. I read that Land Rovers had a lot of problems with the K&N filters. They could use them, but it would cost them a new MAF. I've read some good stuff on NAM as far as the K&N goes, but I wanted to be sure before taking the dive. I was just wondering if there have been any similar problems on the MINIs. Thank you.

I had a K&N filter in my 03 MC for about a year, had no problems. I now a Way/DDM intake,which I really like.

Thanks for the comments. Nothing negative on the K&N so far, so I'll take that as my green light to get one. I went ahead and ordered it today.
