Sorry if this has been covered, I just could not find a clear cut answer. Can you get a European plate with your actual registered numbers and letters in the state of CA? Thanks.

There seems to be loop hole in the law that says you need to have your number displayed on the front of the car but it doesn't specifically say you need your CA plate. It does specifically say CA plate for the back. I've had a europlate.com UK plate with my CA number on the front for almost four months without any issues at all. I know that I'm pushing it but I didn't have any issue with my last car for 7 years with no plate with the exception of when I was at the long-term lot at LAX where they seem to generate a lot of plate revenue...
