Well, first time when stopped in traffic. A couple in a Honda Element asked, and it quickly became clear it had a lot to do with gas prices.

They also commented on the color, and said they hadn't seen a MINI in BRG. I didn't argue, although I saw another (but with white top and nice grey stripes) about three minutes later.

 

thats all people ever ask me...

"hows the gas mileage??"

 

To which I usually reply "not as good as I'd like". I haven't been asked that in a while now.

you're lucky. my cabrio only gets around 27 tops

 

I've had "I like your car!!", "What kind of gas mileage do you get?"...and LOTS of people L@@KING!! Our SA even commented today that she looks GREAT!! Hubby said "It's 'cause its HER car!!"

 

wow 40mpg? im lucky to get 22-25 but i am very heavy footed and its an S (no pully yet)

 

I usually get between 35 and 38 on the highway, but yeah thats all people ever ask me about my car. Little kids love my car. I have driven but tons of kids and heard them scream "I like your car!"

 

My favorite was the guy who said "nice car" and then asked "how fast have you had it up to???" Refreshing!!!

 

I get a lot of little kids oogling mine and usually get the standard "How do you like it?" To which I reply "I love it. $40 every week and a half and 30mpg keeps me happy."

 

When we 1st got our new '08 MCS-we drove it gingerly (keeping it under 4000rpms like the manual suggested) and about 2 miles under the speed limit the whole way. We couldn't believe we drove it from south Atlanta to Mountain City TN. using just over 1/2 a tank of gas. Averaging 40MPG!
