Everyone... we received a request from John Lindsey, the Chief Divisional Director of the National Auto Sport Association to post this link:
nasaforums.com: Willow Accident - Statement of Facts
Furthermore, we were asked that no graphic pictures of the wrecked MINI be posted. Therefore, existing ones on NAM have been removed - they have only served to upset the crash victim's family.
I am passing along the request of the family that posters maintain respect and decorum when discussing this tragedy.
Thanks.

Rest in peace Joe Drey. My condolences to your family & friends.
I never met this man, but we had something in common. The love of our MINI's & a love of the track. He was one of us & he will be missed.
Edge thanks you for doing the right thing here.

My deepest condolences to his family and friends. There is never anything easy about someone dying, but it is inevitable. I try to find solace thinking that his time to leave came while he was doing something that gave him incredible joy...something that not everyone gets when their time comes.
Everyone who races in organized events knows that every time you go out, you might not come back. Nonetheless, the loss of Joe is a great one, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. And NAM is poorer for the loss of his contributions.
Hey all.
I actually saw and met up with Joe about 2 weekends ago (May 18th to be exact.) I had bought some parts from him . . . . and being a true car/driving/mini enthusiast, we spoke for about an hour about a variety of things.
Sorry to hear the news, he was a really nice fellow.
