How would you spend $800 on your MINI?

Here is the Question:

You have $800 (no more than that...) to spend on your MINI.

You already have a 16% pulley, DDMWorks CAI, H-Sport rear swaybar, M7 Strut tower brace and a Oneball exhaust.

How would you spend it?

If it were mine and I already had all the same mods as yours, I'd get the f'n dent under my passenger side headlight repaired. Checkered Flag MINI in VA Beach quoted me about $500 for that. But that's my situation.

Light wheels

I'd look in the market place forum for some really light used wheels

Ireland Engineering Fixed Front camber plates: $190
Texas Speedwerks Springs: $200
Lower rear control arms $200
Install $120
Good alignment w/ slightly more agressive specs than stock: $90

If you can get the install for free, put the extra $120 towards a DE event w/ a good instructor.

Don't know... The control arms were a snap to do in my garage w/ hand tools and jack and jack stands. If you have a local MINI club, I'd ask around there... My local group has done several install days where this type of work was done.

Now that I think about it, I paid $80 for the install of my front camber plates, but that was at the same time as the spring install (free, because I was a beta tester of a new spring design).

Even if the install is more expensive, you can probably shave some expense from the parts, acquiring lightly used bits from the marketplace forum, here or from your local MINI club.

I was looking at springs and was quoated $625 labor for the install... Puls $90 for an alignment.

I have read the install instructions for the springs and I could do them, I just don't have the room (I live in an apartment). I have lowered everything from a 1958 VW Bug, S-10 and Mazda PU trucks to a '89 GLI Jetta... Basically, I have lowered everything I have owned...

$90 for the alignment is fair, but the $625 is awful... it isn't that hard of a job to do. Keep looking!

- $20 for the Detroit Tuned cable that keeps the tensioner from screwing up your crank pulley when the belt goes (ask me how I know... ya see, I have this friend...)
- New belt, fluids, maintenance items if needed
- Rear strut tower brace (you can't see it, they're all basically OK, and if you want WAY over the top get DDMWorks plate)
- HPDE or track time
- Milltek (a little > $800), ALTA stealth 2.5" exhaust, or a custom exhaust with a Boxster tip. Heck, a Boxster tip for your one-ball!

Can't lower much here in Pennsylvania, roads too crappy.

~~~a Boxster tip for your one-ball!~~~
I did't even think of that...
Actually I kind of like the One-Ball... I know I can get more power out of an Alta exhaust... But that is $750ish... I might be happy to just change out the tip and still have $$$ to play with...
Thank you DixonL2...
So I will have to make an new Thread...
"How would you spend $600 on your MINI?"
How'd you get from $800 to $600? Cable for $20 (easy install once you get the fender liner removed, don't need to remove belt), belt for $20 (easy install with a tensioner tool...), rear strut tower brace for $100 (install pretty easy), engine torque dampener for $100... Too bad you're not around Pittsburgh or we'd hold another PittStopMINI garage day...
Oh - don't get a REAL Boxster tip, just a single oval tip would do!
