Magnetic badge holders?

Hi! I really want to get some magentic badges, but I can't seem to find a badge holder for the 08 Cooper. All of the sites I have looked at say they fit the 07 or earlier. I don't want to assume that the holder for the 07 will fit my car and have it not fit.

Thanks in advance!

I'm almost certain that it will fit your '08. Just verify with the vendor that you can send it back if it won't fit. It's kinda fiddly to get on, but it is a very simple piece of hardware.

I'd also advise looking around NAM to see who NOT to order your badges from . . . some of us have had issues . . .

PS: congratulations!!!

I just (tonight) ordered one of the Out Motoring grill badge holders. I've got a brand new '08 MCSC, but from the description and pictures, it should work just fine on your '08 MC.

I mounted mine on the lower grill next to the tow hook. If it wasn't dark out, I'd take a picture for you all. If you cannot get the badge to fit the hood grill on the '07, you can always mount it down low.

I bought one today from the local MINI dealer and put it on quickly and without any trouble. My car is the old body style, though (as I gather)...

Thanks for all of your responses! Anyone have an idea how much it costs from the dealer?

FYI, the dealer doesn't make/carry badge holders for any 08. According to the parts guy that helped me, they don't plan to. Claimed it would have to be aftermarket only.

Again, thanks for all of the help!

That's retarded. If they holders for the other years, they should have 08 too!

Actually that is incorrect. As far as I am aware the grille is exactly the same on the 07/08 models. So the 07 badge holders would work just fine. The parts guy is being lazy. The badge holder outmotoring makes is superb and I believe he even states it will work on all model years.

Outmotoring is where I'm going to order mine. I was going to try to go through the dealer so I could have it right now instead of waiting [I'm a bit impatient!]

So where does one find good pre-made magnetic badges?

I already have a NUXY badge that I want to put on my MINI when it gets here, but I'm sucker for symmetry and will need to put something on the other side of the grill or I just won't be happy.

There are a few places that come to mind. The website www.motoringbadges.com has a nice selection. A newcomer, www.designsformotoring.com has a nice collection as well.

Outmotoring will definitely take care of you. Also, I believe we are ALL a bit impatient when it comes to our Minis.

The 07 grill badge holders will fit any year MINI. It's just a screw that goes through the holes in the grill and a metal plate on the back. MiniCorsa had a few left over from AMVIV. You may want to contact Danny there and see if he has any left over.

gominigo.com has one that fits on the rear license plate frame... the badge sticks out to either the right or left of your rear license plate.... about $17.

Does OutMotoring give NAM discounts?
It's showing that there are no shipping charges when i put a few things in my cart. Can that be right?

You choose your shipping method when you check out, then it adds in the shipping

I love OutMotoring. Aaron is nice, they ship fast...service is great. And it's nice to support a NAM vendor!

I added everything to my cart then put in my zip and clicked "calculate shipping" but everything still came up to zero. Hmm...
